Mr. Andrew Goldie

Mr. Andrew M. Goldie is entering his fourth year as an administrator in the Fort Campbell School community, serving as Assistant Principal at both the Middle and High School. With 14 years of classroom teaching experience across three continents — working with students ranging from infants in an early childhood program to adult professionals in corporate training settings — Mr. Goldie brings a breadth of educational perspective.

Mr. Goldie has been a part of the Department of War Education Activity (DoWEA) since 2018, when he joined the faculty at Wiesbaden High School in Germany. During his classroom tenure with DoWEA, he was recognized as a district-level Teacher of the Year nominee. Prior to his DoWEA tenure, Mr. Goldie worked primarily in international education, serving schools in China, South Korea, and the Dominican Republic.

Education is a priority for Mr. Goldie, who holds degrees from Miami University (OH) and the University of Illinois — both recognized as Public Ivies — where he studied Music Education (BM) and Education Policy, Organization, and Leadership (EdM). His master's thesis focused on revitalizing vocational education in the United States. Mr. Goldie earned his Ohio administrative license through additional graduate work in the Standards-Aligned Instructional Leadership (SAIL) program at Concordia University Chicago, leading to a Master of Arts in School Leadership. He is also completing a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resource Management at Liberty University (concurrent with his doctorate). Both programs are grounded in faith that have informed Mr. Goldie’s understanding of leadership as fundamentally an act of service. He also holds professional certificates from the Harvard Business School and Harvard Graduate School of Education in school management and instructional leadership, respectively.

Currently, Mr. Goldie is pursuing his doctorate (EdD) at Columbia University's Teachers College, where he is enrolled in the selective, fast-track AEGIS program in Adult Learning and Leadership. His dissertation examines how adolescents and young adults develop the independence, judgment, and self-direction needed to thrive in adult life — and what role schools, families, and communities play in supporting that journey.

Mr. Goldie believes that education's highest purpose is the formation of good citizens — young people who understand their responsibilities to one another and to democratic society, and who aspire to be not merely skilled graduates, but genuinely good human beings.

Outside the academic realm, Mr. Goldie co-founded and led the Korea International Music Educators Association (KIMEA), which provides DoWEA students in Korea opportunities to participate in high-level honors events alongside their peers at international schools. As an accomplished musician, Mr. Goldie has held principal trumpet positions in orchestras in Alaska, Korea, and Germany, and has performed as a jazz and pit orchestra musician around the world. He continues to perform as time allows.

Mr. Goldie relocated from Germany to the Fort Campbell area with his wife of 14 years, Soeun, and their rescue cat, Tranquility (TQ). His hobbies include golfing, scuba diving, and reading. He looks forward to continuing to serve the students, families, teachers, and school staff of the Fort Campbell community.
