Catapults + Candy = Math in Motion!

Mrs. Breighner’s math class teamed up with Mrs. Holland’s AAPS students for an exciting hands-on activity in the Maker Space. Together, they designed and built catapults, turning engineering creativity into a math-powered challenge. The goal? Launch candy pumpkins across the room and use real-world data to make math come alive!

Students measured distances, calculated averages, and graphed their results, transforming a fun experiment into a meaningful lesson in mathematics. This collaborative project combined problem-solving, teamwork, and technology, showing that math isn’t just numbers on a page—it’s an adventure!
